Insulated Boxes – A Boon for the Supply Chain Industry

Are you involved in the business of transporting temperature-sensitive goods from one place to another? Are you looking for some insight into the world of insulated containers? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, you have come to the right place.

The transportation of goods from one place to another is a difficult and tedious task, and there are certain criteria that need to be met before products are moved. When it comes to temperature-sensitive products such as chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, etc., insulated boxes are the way to go!

At K. K. Nag Pvt. Ltd, we have two types of insulated boxes:

1. Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)/thermocol insulated boxes for single use

2. Rotationally moulded insulated boxes for repeated usage

Piocelan

220 Ltr Rotationally Moulded Insulated Box

Both types of boxes are extremely reliable and easy to handle.

Transporting temperature-sensitive goods in regular boxes can damage them because if the products are not packaged properly the heat can change their chemical composition leading to quick degradation. Insulated boxes provide a protective layer that maintains the required temperatures for extended periods of time. As they say, prevention is better than cure.

Rotationally moulded boxes have Polyurethane (PU) filled in between their walls while EPS has very low thermal conductivity. Both of these properties make these boxes highly insulated.

Advantages of Insulated Boxes

The advantages of insulated boxes are not limited only to protection from excessive heat and cold. Insulated thermocol and rotationally moulded boxes are also water resistant. This means that they can be transported even in the most extreme weather conditions, particularly when there is heavy rainfall. There is zero chance of any condensation occurring inside the thermocol boxes and if any condensate is produced in the rotationally moulded insulated boxes, it can be drained immediately and effectively by unplugging the drain plugs.

Another major advantage of insulated thermocol boxes is that EPS has no nutrient value. This means that no vermin, fungi and bacteria can grow on or inside thermocol boxes. Therefore, these boxes can be used to transport products from the agriculture and food industries domestically and internationally.

To sum it up, packaging in India has been made much simpler due to insulated boxes. These boxes are easily available in the market and can be customised as per the needs of the customer. EPS/thermocol and rotationally moulded insulated boxes provide the ultimate protection for your products, and this makes them the ideal choices for any person involved in the supply chain business.
